POPPIES~ A FASHION STATEMENT?

Remembrance Day- Celebrated in Britain at 11am on the 11th November every year to remember all the people that died in World War 1.
The 11th hour, of the 11th day,

of the 11th month...

we WILL remember them

Poppies are worn as a sign of respect and remembrance but while everyone else was watching The X Factor for whatever reason (it can't just be for the talent) I was noticing the tiny sparkling poppies.

These are from a company called Kleshna who recently revealed only 10% of their money go to The Royal British Legions

Why bother with sparkly ones? I'm sure if we wanted we could all make the normal paper ones too...but isn't the point to remember the soldiers and support The British Legions?

Today I saw someone with a rubber bracelet supporting them...

have we become too obsessed with making it look good?

Or does it still make a statement as well as being an accessory?

A fashion accessory could be a good thing because it could mean we are supporting the charity through the year rather than just in the month of November? Or it could loose its meaning.

However we choose to display our thoughts this year, I am glad we all support and appreciate men fighting and dying for their county.

Proud to say, That's Brit!?

P.S......on a lighter note..
